PEEP Turns Chrome and Edge Into Post-Compromise Backdoors for Host Command Execution

​Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a complex Chromium-based post-exploitation toolkit called PEEP that masquerades as a bookmarks extension for the web browser.
